Oh those pop songs

by Angie

These days I find myself listening to indie bands (like Voxtrot, Rilo Kiley, Porter), my favorites (Collective Soul, Coldplay, Smashing Pumpkins) or programming like Chillville on 101X Sunday mornings. But I’ve gotten really excited over some pop songs (yes, Britney, yes I know) recently. Normally I hate girly boys singing bang bang pop scream songs (or stuff like Nickelback where everything sounds the same, gag) but there’s something about Hero/Heroine by Boys Like Girls that I can’t get out of my head. And when I saw the music video at 3:19 to 3:24 I knew why: it’s my old summer stomping grounds in New York. Yes, the song is calling me to come back. (O, you’ll get REALLY excited when you see it!)

Course while I’m humming that song I’m trying to dance to Chris Brown’s Forever and it doesn’t look pretty. On top of that I find Three Wishes by The Pierces to be hauntingly beautiful.

As I’ve already told you, I LOVE Chris Brown. And that line in Forever, “Look what I can do with my feet!” is just SO cute. :)
