Expect the unexpected
If there is one thing I’m starting to notice is that you really can’t predict who’s going to “be there” for you. You can discuss plans with one person, but end up actually doing something with another who is much more committed. (I’ve crossed off visiting a natural pool off my list. Sweet.) Or you can feel like crap and get sick, and someone will actually buy you a bunch of medicine and make you tea to help you get better. You may have someone always come and pick you up to go dancing so you don’t have to drive. Or have an old friend that bought you a good meal just because.
There is a fortune from a fortune cookie that I framed on my desk that says:
Stop searching forever, happiness is just next to you.
Sometimes I overlook the kindness that people around me have provided and don’t realize just how much they contribute to my well-being. I suppose this says a lot coming from someone who is easily amused but not easily impressed. I want to thank you and you and you and you.
Time to pay it forward.

what a positive attitude post!
