WHY 2 COLUMNS?
On the left side of our blog, we post thoughtful things - deep, funny, or personal. On the right side, we post beautiful things - often music, pictures, and video that we like.
Think of it as brain food + eye candy.
We think each is important in its own way, so we make sure you can easily see both!
Yes, that is my actual skeleton from a scan I had to do today. It was a busy day might I add, but I found out that I am 21.4% body fat (women my age 20-32% normal range, while men are 8-19%). I’m a lean machine. ^_-
Lasse Lindh is amazingly my type of music. After listening to Bruised, I started scoping out more of this Swedish singer (he’s a guy). You can hear him here and here.
Do you ever wonder why pointless things make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Tonight the University had a firework display (for money probably) and I stepped outside to watch from the steps. I don’t know what it is about fireworks (even if they’re wasteful and loud), but they create this magic. I think of imagination, and for some part, Disney. I think of this shared joy and awe with those around you.
The same goes with cut flowers (another wasteful industry, I know), but I admit to be a sucker for them. To receive and place a bouquet of bright, cheerful flowers on your table, just gives you such a lovely feeling of appreciation and warmth.
And then there’s the clip Kristan sent me. I keep watching the panda sneeze clip and giggling. Profusely. I don’t know why, but I love it and the baby panda is so cute. Okay, watching one more time.
There’s also this old gem from a while back: otter love. Wait for it, it’s golden.
I think these things all remind me of the magic of love and it makes me all emotional (in a good way). Big hugs for everyone :)
