BFFs Angie and Kristan blog about anything, everything, and sometimes even nothing.

As my dad says, there’s no such thing as a free meal

by Angie

Truthfully, I really enjoy being “single” and the freedom that comes with it. I’ve also met lots of great new people, although I’m not interested in any serious relationships right now. So you would think I’d be treated to a nice dinner here and there, because I don’t think I’m that unfortunate looking or without personality.

Sadly, life has not thrown free food my way. Funny enough, I have treated someone to lunch (and it was no biggie). And while I’m not one to use people, but man if there is one thing that I really want right now, it’s good free food. Is this too much to hope for?

Newsflash: This little girl over here is malnourished. She hasn’t had time to cook for over a week, and she needs to be force fed vegetables. All she’s had to sustain herself is bread. And lots and lots of reading. She needs colors in her food, and white ain’t a color. Reading papers ain’t filling. This is a desperate cry: Wine me! Dine me people!

I’m just waiting for karma to work its way back to me. Olivia, Uchi, Starlite or Iron Works anyone? FEED ME!

I think to con free food out of guys, you have to flirt back… :P

Next time a CUTE guy offers to buy you a drink when you’re out dancing with peeps, say, “Hmm, no thanks. But how about dinner tommorrow night? ;)”

Haha, sadly I am not a flirt. Maybe a cute guy will see past my non-girly communication and still offer to take me out for dinner :)
