BFFs Angie and Kristan blog about anything, everything, and sometimes even nothing.

I feel the cold, loneliness unfold, like from another world

by Kristan

I remember obsessing over this song after I watched the spectacular finale to Season 2 of Grey’s Anatomy. I wandered the streets of Madrid listening to Shakira and the Postal Service, but mostly THIS SONG on repeat as I passed Plaza España and took the Metro to class and walked home along Calle Princesa.

WARNING: This video is probably not work appropriate, but they did air it on public television, so it’s not THAT bad!

If you’re only interested in the music, go to Kate Havnevik’s MySpace and check out “Grace”, or skip ahead to 1:24 in the video. (Just click to watch at YouTube. Sorry no videos would embed!)

I’m on my knees
Only memories
Are left for me to hold

Don’t know how
But I’ll get by
Slowly pull myself together
(I’ll get through this)

There’s no escape
So keep me safe
This feels so unreal

Nothing comes easily
Fill this empty space
Nothing is like it seems
Turn my grief to grace
