If you knew what happened tonight, you would probably think I’m pretty pathetic. I, on a lark, went country dancing, because I figured it’s been a tough long couple of weeks, why not reward myself with something fun. Well as soon as I get there, I felt out of place and not motivated to dance. I just kind of sat there and watched other people dance, making some small conversation ever so often.

Maybe I didn’t realize how mentally tired I was. Maybe I was being stupid. Truthfully, I just felt incredibly lonely, which is surprising given my nature to socialize (and that I like having alone time). So I sat there, surrounded by people, feeling lonely. And I decided I wanted to go home, all before midnight.

At the very least, I left early knowing that “I shoulda kissed you” is by Ryan Beaver (local Austin artist). It played over the summer but I never knew who it was by (kind of like how it took me forever to find Wear My Ring by Bart Crow Band.)  So if there was anything I gained tonight, it was this great song, and I just wanted to share it with you.
