The new Mrs. O?
Okay, I haven’t loved all her choices, but I DO think it’s cool that Michelle Obama has a younger, “hipper” fashion sense than most of the previous First Ladies of our generation, or any female politician of prominence, really. So I was thinking about blogging her clothes every week or every day… but of course, someone jumped on that idea already!
Mrs. O is meant to track Michelle Obama’s fashion choices in the times to come, and I confess, I’ll probably tune in. At least if she keeps wearing stuff like this:

This Maria Pinto dress totally flatters her figure (unlike, imho, the black and red Narciso Rodriguez dress from Election Night) — downplaying her hips and elongating her legs. I love it, and I kind of want it!
Also, kind of random, but some Project Runway favorites were asked to design gowns for her for Inauguration night, and these were the resulting sketches.

frankley i feel like she doesnt meet the standards of the new mrs o. She lacks my pizaz style, and she needs to hit the gym, plus the shoes are a bit too high making her dwarf her husband, and I would never make that fasion fopa
Sarcastic much :)
Can she be Jackie? I doubt it, but will her fashion moves be watched? Definitely.
OH JACKIE i thought you ment me ROFL
Actually I think she can… I mean, it’ll be different, but already infinitely more attention has been paid to her choices and her designers than first ladies of the past, right? (Or am I just older now and more aware?)
LOL to Bob. Also, she doesn’t usually wear heels, she says, at least not on the campaign trail. She prefers flats b/c she’s already 5’11″ and exactly that: doesn’t want to dwarf other people. Plus it’s easier to keep up with two young kids without heels!
