So not only is she a sweetheart — and I cannot for the life of me even remember anymore how I found her… decor8? design*sponge? — but she also has beautiful art. Check out Rita Vindedzis:
Very precious. To tell you the truth though, I feel it’s her subject matter and muted palate that makes it. I think the red with flowers isn’t her most impressive piece (it’s her selection of colors and elements that makes it appealing), but maybe these showcase her talent more: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3079/2906054312_ff29d7b6eb.jpg?v=0
Oh my, You ladies have me blushing!! Thank you for the nice comments. I’ll have to agree with you Angie about the red piece, not my favorite either.
best,
Rita

ANGIE is a grad student at UT Austin. She is in a point of her life where all she does is over think everything.
She is currently reading El Zahir by Paulo Coehlo and trying to make a dent in her McSweeney's.
The JBU columns and all the bloggy parts are ours. Everything else we try to credit, but sometimes that information isn't available.
If you think we have mis-credited or not credited something, please let us know. Also, if we have blogged about something that is yours and you would rather we not, we are happy to take it down.
