Last Sunday, Andy and I went to the Country Concert 2009 in Ft. Loramie, OH. Random middle of nowhere location? Yes. Awesome music and outdoor concert atmosphere? YES!

Best by far was Phil Vassar, who as a songwriter (behind several hits for Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, and Alan Jackson before breaking out on his own) showed that he is a consummate musician and performer. He even mixed in a little Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to (my favorite song of his) “Six Pack Summer”! Check it out:

After a fun day in the sun (and surprisingly only 3 hours’ worth of sunburn instead of the 8 we were really out there!) I’m pretty sure Andy and I will be going back for Country Concert 2010.
