There is only one point of this post: go buy macaroons at Paulette. The two days I was in LA that flanked my Joshua Tree visit (post and pics coming soon) I went here and devoured. Their flavors change but my absolute favorite is the jasmine tea, followed by sicilian pistachio and carribean chocolate. They’re a little bit pricey, but worth it for a dozen just for yourself! They also make great little housewarming gifts or party favors.

I also finally tried Diddy Riese the famous ice cream cookie sandwich shop, which was also great although a bit heavy after dinner. But you can’t beat the $1.50 price tag!

When we were at Joshua Tree we  heated up some challah bread pudding with ciao bella gelato.
