My dad doesn’t get why I like people’s old stuff

by Angie

I call this my “driving outfit” since I took my mom’s car that day (surely someone my age does not need to drive this vehicle). The best part is that my entire outfit cost less than the key for the car.

The silk turquoise wrap dress was $9, although it’s too big. I also scored some awesome vintage goods in the Heights while shopping with Mitza. This included a camel-colored box clutch/purse, gold sweater clips and a silver and black, art deco-inspired brooch for cheap. Hey dad, is this a good enough reason?

Dress: vintage (Grace Hart, super affordable antique store), shoes from Target
Location: Bellaire

Cute! Although yes it’s a little big. Can you get it tailored? Or move the belt up? The color is great on you.

It’s a wrap so you can’t really move the belt since it’s attached but I thought about taking it in somehow. But I think in the end, I’m okay with it loose, doesn’t seem worth the effort for me with this dress.

Fair enough. I mean it still looks nice!
