Nothing brings people together like…meat?

by Angie

My friends took me to Carnegie Deli this past weekend for gimongous sandwiches, and when I say gimongous, I mean two 10 inches thick sandwiches on one plate. Needless to say this fed me for a couple days (and I don’t eat much meat).

While we were there an older couple from Pennsylvania sat next to us and the wife told us how they come into the city 4-5 times a year, and this time was to see the USS New York, the ship made from recycled 9/11 steel and sitting on the Hudson outside my office window. She told me that her daughter loved New York and still misses it while in DC. She also told me that I would love it here.

I think I do love it here.
