I am loving on decor8 today, because she introduced me to the amazing illustrator Hillary Bird. I absolutely ADORE this girl + bear series, and Hillary’s style in general.

Isn’t that just the greatest adventure?! (The second one is my favorite.)

It’s a two-fer. I’ve been jamming to Swedish band Ceo, and they have this cool techno-infused melodic cheery I don’t know how to describe sound. whatever it is, it’s perfect for a boost in the afternoon slump while you work or a pick-me-up run. One of my favorites is Illuminata, but you can also download from rcrd lbl Everything is gonna be alright and Come with me. For her birthday, my friend thought it would be fun to do something out of ordinary. So the lot of us, trekked over to Coney Island and celebrated. Here are the photos I took, believe it or not on my blackberry (although edited in Photoshop). We happened to be up in the air on a ride when the fireworks started, it was the best view ever. The last photo is of the Cyclone’s wooden structure.

Angie and I both have immigrant parents (I have 1, she has 2) so I think this new Google commercial really hits home for us. But parents and children of any type should be able to appreciate the idea of love and sacrifice.

Too bad they’re so expensive. (Well, the shoes are reasonable.)

The shoes don’t have very good reviews, though, so I’m kinda glad I won’t spend the money on them anyway. Super cute looking, though. They’re exactly how I picture the boots worn by Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games.
