You too can play Coldplay

Yes! The sense of accomplishment is too great! I must shout it from the rooftops, “I can play Violet Hill on the piano!” This kid took the time to transcribe it and because it’s so repetitive, I’m sure most people with an ability to read sheet music can play it. Now I need to work on Viva la Vida and dance to it.

Seriously, this is when you realize your BA in geography has gone to waste (but to be fair I was not a political geographer but an earth scientist…)

Kristan: California is too far/expensive.
Angie: Really? Aren’t you in the middle?
Angie: Or is New York/Boston closer?
Kristan: Haha not middle. I thought middle too. We’re WAY east.
Kristan: Way East-er than I thought.
Angie: Really?
Angie: Oh man, map time!
(I really do pull up a map of the United States.)
Angie: YOU ARE EAST! wOw.
