Caribou Barbie

by Angie

Not as funny as the other sketches, but I liked how SNL integrated guess who in! (Thanks Kristan for sharing the link)

And then I saw Amy Poehler.

Oh, are we not doing the talent portion?

by Kristan

I called my mom the other night because we hadn’t talked in a couple days, and she said, “Hi, honey. I don’t want to talk to you. I’m trying to watch the debate.”

Love you too, Mom.

:(

However, I may love Tina Fey more…

Queen Latifah’s not bad in this either. And I totally almost titled this post, “You dopes just got schooled, Biden-style!”

Katie, I’d like to use one of my lifelines

by Kristan

Okay, this one is definitely not as funny as the first, but again, Tina Fey is PERFECT as Palin, and Amy Poehler’s constant blinking is priceless.

Byew, byew, byew! *wink*

Thank you, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and SNL

by Kristan

I first saw this skit at blurbomat, and immediately started kicking myself because I’d intended to watch the whole SNL premiere (with Michael Phelps!) but forgot.

:(

After seeing this opening sketch, though, I’m not really sure I need to see more. It’s pretty anti-Palin (just a warning to those who may get upset) but so funny I could die.

Instead I looked like this

by Angie

Jenn and I had a lovely time catching up at Jo’s Coffee just chatting away on 2nd Street for the lamest event ever, but we still managed to have fun. (My only stipulation was that we make it back in time so I could see Barack Obama speak, where I subsequently made another friend wait for me to finish watching the speech before I went out again. Completely on a side note, are you surprised by McCain’s pick Sarah Palin?) Anyhow I busted out my awesome orchid purple shorts (image included just so you can see the color) from French Connection yesterday, although I still haven’t figured out how I should wear them.

From our conversation, I started thinking about the friends I’ve made since freshman year, how things have changed since then and who I still even keep in touch with.
